Conditions of Entry

Please read carefully as these are different this year due to COVID-19.

  1. Once accepted, entrant contact must arrive on time at the designated point and report to the Parade Manager. You may be turned away if you are late.
  2. Entrants are solely responsible for the health, welfare, safety, security and COVID restrictions of all the members of their entry. This includes any vehicle or equipment used withi the parade entry.
  3. Entrants accept that they participate in the parade at their own risk.
  4. Vehicles used must be roadworthy with current road tax duty paid, a valid MOT and insurance policy which is suitable for carnival use. Any mounted entries (carrying people) require public liability insurance for £5 million.
  5. The maximum weight of any vehicle is three tonnes. Due to a new route, we are only accepting cars and small pick-up trucks.
  6. Entrants must obey all instructions given by the marshals.
  7. The parade manager reserves the right to stop the parade or refuse entry for any entrant whose activities or any part of them is unsafe or poses a risk to the general public.
